Rocky Road

No amount of pretty purple-blue morning glories or rock cairns could hide the treacherousness (is that a word; if not, it is now!) of our rapid, steep descent from Alto del Perdon.  Added to the hazardous pebbles, rocks and boulders was the dusty dry red dirt and the hot sun, which only added to the discomfort, particularly to the feet and ankles. Given that it was a small percentage of the trek of the day, we survived!
