There I go again, experimenting with infrared photography. Anyway, what a place – Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve – approximate size is 3.3 million acres, and pun intended, we barely touched “the tip of the iceberg”.
Glacier Bay National Park contains some of the world’s most impressive tidewater glaciers (50 named glaciers in 2 “arms”). The bay has experienced at least 4 major glacial advances and 4 major retreats. Mountains rise right from its tidewater up to three vertical miles. Mount Fairweather is southeastern Alaska’s highest peak.
