Birds everywhere!! – on the island, at the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, in the sand, up in the sky, by the sea, a quick flight up from the street to the phone lines, eternalized at the Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza…(Factoid: The Platform of the Eagles, built 1050-1200, contain relief carvings depicting jaguars and eagles eating human hearts. They are further indicators that human sacrifice was a part of religious ceremonies at Chichen Itza.)
