As soon as we saw this graffiti, we and several other pilgrims in the vicinity, were singing this song by The Proclaimers! In fact, some of us were so relishing the moment, we were screaming it out because Santiago was only one more day’s hike away.
Nancy and I may not have hiked the full 500 miles of El Camino de Santiago, but we did begin at the trail’s head in St. Jean Pied de Port, France, and would end up at trail’s end. This moment was a precursor to the big day.
