Tourists!! Ugh! There’s a downside for some (by no means all though) of the residents and farmers who live, or make their living, along the Camino Trail. The sheep herder made it clear he didn’t want his photo taken.
Who would, when day in and day out, throughout the year, pilgrims and day hikers traipse on the trail running through his property, wanting to capture everlasting memories of the rural, rustic, farm life. Too, perhaps his dog was getting up there in years, or the afternoon sun got too hot, but even he looked a bit weary of it all!
A smile and a “muchas gracias, Señor” went a long way with the herder though, hence lots of cute sheeps’ heads popping up here and there.
